Modern Warfare 2 Review .

So I finally got my copy of MW2 after everyone has been talking about it , and after playing it , I immediately screwed Borderlands and started getting engrossed into the game .

First impressions
When I first got the game at The Software Boutique in SS2 for RM219 . I was shocked at its poorly printed packaging along with the horrible Booklet that tells you nearly nothing at all . Everything on the outside looked so cheap and demotivating , especially the screenshots of the game itself . But anyways , it's whats inside the two DVD's inside that counts right ?

It took me around 10 minutes to install the game along with STEAM on my computer .

When launching the game , it has three modes to choose from : Campaign , Spec Ops and Multiplayer .

Single player
Now I'm gonna try to refrain from spoiling the whole campaign experience for you , especially since the Modern Warfare series has been critically acclaimed for its epic storyline . The storyline of MW2 however , is inferior compared to the first one . Don't get me wrong its still really engrossing but it's just not as good . One big issue about the storyline is that it's so obvious that IW (infinity ward) has been rushing this which caused a few plot holes and a really confusing storyline which only some may actually understand it .

And again , it's only 5 hours worth of gameplay or slightly more .

The graphics along with the guns and other systems are AWESOME though , the voice actors also sound really professional .

Another thing that I would like to add on is that for noobs like me , even on recruit mode you would be dying alot .

And just for a reminder , the storyline is STILL better than many other games and even movies out there , just that its too short and it's rather cliche from the first one too , and yeah along with some confusing bits .

Spec Ops
Spec Ops is something fresh for the Modern Warfare series . It's like a co-op multiplayer campaign with no storyline at all . Through this mode players can either choose to try this alone (HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED) or team up with a friend on STEAM to do tasks . I tried Spec Ops with Jeremy finishing the Alpha missions and completing half of the Bravo ops . Some missions allowed one player to be an AC-130 gunner to cover the other player on foot on the ground that has to reach a certain extraction point . Some missions required both player to coordinate themselves to avoid guards and only killing the necessary guards with your silenced sniper rifles to reach a certain point or they could just try to kill them all (Which , me and Jeremy tried , is harder than avoiding them ) . This is something new and kinda fun , but it doesn't beat the REAL reason why everybody loved CoD4...

Multiplayer
Yes , you've probably heard of the boycotting of MW2 because IW just HAD to remove Dedicated servers from MW2 . Here's what it means :
-No choosing what server you want to join
-No in game admins to kick hackers (VAC supposedly does the work but human admins are ALWAYS more efficient in catching hackers compared to anti-hacking softwares)
-Maximum capacity of 8v8 ?!
-PC gamers will suffer alot since you might get matched up with people from around the globe and start lagging .

To replace the dedicated servers , IW has chosen to use a matchmaking system which they call 'IWnet' . Basically when you hit the 'Find Server' button , it will automatically matchmake you to other players that has the closest latency/location to you . While this was done to prevent lag fest games , it fails when I'm a Malaysian and play at the wee hours and get matchmaked to American players -.-

It has some advantages though , because it chooses the player with the best IP and connectivity to be the host .

Other than the IWnet issues , the MP experience is just AWESOME , sure the higher levels still get the upper hand BUT with death streaks and the beginning classes , it's relatively easier to play as a level 1 now .

The maps are good , the perks are slightly more balanced (Except Akimbo Shotguns (Many debates about that one 0.o) . Guns...They're more of them .

Just for the record , out of 10 games that I play per day , I usually get only 2 to none laggy games , and so far I haven't found a single hacker yet after the update . And even if my latency is just 1 Bar(when I was matchmaked to Koreans) , I managed to get some kills because the lag is BEARABLE .

Oh and BTW , they removed the console which means that there is no way to mod maps/game types and etc.

The verdict
MW2 isn't as epic as its predecessor , but it's still a REALLY REALLY great game . It doesn't deserve Game of the year like CoD4 but it's still good .

Pro's
-Storyline still engrossing
-New guns and weapon systems are amazing
-Amazing voice acting and graphics
-Multiplayer experience (not taking in account IWnet) is still solid

Con's
-IWnet and the lack of dedicated servers pulled this game down for good (ONLY for the PC community , the Console community are widely unaffected)
-Players have barely any control over which map they want to play
-No more console which means no more mods
-Storyline could've been better

Overall rating ,
8/10

Borderlands intro !

Hello people !

Yes I know I've been (or we've) been in a hiatus for awhile even after PMR so it's time to say ....

I'M BACK !

My upcoming review will be on the RPS game "Borderlands"

The game is actually really experimental since that it's one of those games that combines the RPG genre with an FPS .

I've just gotten a new rig and started playing , so I can't make a full review just yet since I haven't finished the game .

Though I've got to say that the Graphics with everything set to MAX is really outstanding...(It's cell-shaded by the way...)

GUIDE TO SLAYING ZOMBIES that hails HITLER.

Yes people , Base of Action is now back in action .

Have you ever played a game where there's an endless horde of zombies and you and your friends get to kill them and earn fictional money with no physical form of currency? Well there's only one game that has this in a very complete form and not some cheap retarded flash game from the internet. It's NAZI ZOMBIES , well they should not call it Nazi Zombies since there are hell hounds and Banzai Zombies but hey majority of them Nazies so no point arguing in that sense.

So , you finally gathered 3 friends to accompany you to end your curious urge to try out Nazi Zombies and guess what it gets addictive! But you feel like every time you play it you never get past level 20 no matter how many times you tried so want to get there here's how...

Let's start off with the basics shall we , on how to smoothly past by level 10 without breaking a sweat here's how ...

1. At level one don't SHOOT , let the zombies pour in and leak though the small passages you don't need bullets to kill them just knife them when they get in . Why? It's because you don't need guns and when you knife them at level one the chances of dropping bonuses are at a 20% chance which is the highest in the game. When level one ends if you and your friends do exactly what I told you , you and your friends should have 1000-1200+ credits.

2. At level 2 and 3 continue stabbing and slashing em zombies you do not require any rifles just your pistols , rebuild the barricades after level one then when they pour in again go for a different tactic . This time before they go in hold them back with the barricade which earns you a chance to knife them until it takes just one more stab till they die and when they pour in the first zombies which you stabbed at will die since you stabbed it once at level 2 and twice at 3 remember for every level it takes one extra stab to kill them. When they pour and after you killed the first one approaching you to kill the rest it depends on your pistol now which does less damage than the knife , first shoot the zombies a couple of times at least 2/3 of you magazine then knife them at 3 you need the whole magazine don't worry about ammo you should have enough otherwise you could cook a grenade before they enter then when they pour it explodes and turns them into crawlies which are legless zombies that crawls to you this is no problem to anyone as it only takes one stab to kill a level 2 and 3 zombie. By the end of level 3 one of you should have at least 2500-3000 credits while 2 persons have at least 1000-2500 credits and lastly 1000-2000 credits depending on bonuses.

3.Now that you've opened a door make sure you open the one that leads you to the random box , if unless on Verrukt or Der Riese which instead just get the most reliable gun from the wall. In level 4-7 it's fairly easy for anyone and hell hounds are quite easy too. The trick to surviving a hound round is to stick together , 2 person handles one dog . Now during the hound round which only occurs in Shi No Numa and other later maps the dogs have a fixed amount of health all the time regardless of level and only 2 dogs can chase after all four of you during the level which means that if you the only one you'd be in deep sheeet. But fear not it's really easy to outsmart dogs the trick is to move diagonally now dogs may be fast but they're retarded at moving diagonally mainly because you have 2 legs and they have four so move diagonally in a circular pattern and you should be fine handling dogs by yourself . REMEMBER dogs also do a fix damage by percentage which is 45% so it takes 3 bites to incapacitate you so don't let your guard down . ALSO don't buy any other gun other that random weapons because it's the most worth your buck stuff ever! Imagine paying only 950 for a gun like a MG42 now that's bargain alright don't worry if you get some sheety guns for it's only level 4-9 which does not require too much effort to kill them even with a KAR 98k

4.Now level 10 things get rough , if you're playing Shi No Numa or other later maps randoming weapons will result into the most hated crap ever the Teddy Bear which replaces the old random box with a fake decoy box with a bear on top of it so to avoid it random only when the level font turns from red to white because the bear is zombie related so during the zombie slaying time the bear usually appears when you random one too many times but never during the white font. During the break you have just enough time for up to 2 people to use the random box once but it's no big deal since there's a 1:4 awesome weapon ration which means that if 3 people gets a crappy gun one will not but most of the time all four of you will get substantially good weapons to use . At level 10 you should be opening most of the doors by now , for example at Verrukt you should have already get the electricity running , at Shi No Numa you should get gotten to either the Supply Hut or the Doctor's Quarters , at Der Riese you should be trying to enable a teleporter . However in Nacht Der Untoten you don't need to open upstairs at all unless you're really comfortable at your current position and wants a stronger challenge so be careful when you're up there. Also note that in Verrukt and Nacht Der Untoten you may random as many times possible and there will be no bears also there is no hound round so it's easy for many people . Don't get perks till level 16 , it's way to early plus you should be investing in weapons rather than perks. REMEMBER when you get incapacitated you lose all your perks until you feel skilled at evading zombies don't get any perks until level 16.

Well I'll continue another day but first do try my tactics and I assure you it'll be a breeze to past level 10 in fact there should be no incapacitation during the first ten level and by level ten one of you should have up to 7000 credits if you don't get perks and you score lucky early with the random box. Happy huntin. :D

Left 4 Dead 2

The new special infected ---------

The Charger is an infected with a mutated, oversized arm, and can move quickly and knock players in its path off their feet. It can also grab players and smash them against the ground 2 deal major damage

The Spitter spit's phlegm that splatter across an area, eroding the survivors' health as long as they remain within it

The Jockey can jump onto the back of a survivor and steer them towards other infected or traps set by the game.

New game modes ----------

Scavenger mode has the 4 survivor characters scrambling 2 collect gas cans from various spots in a confined location in order 2 fuel up a generator before a two-minute timer expires. There are 16 cans total and 20 seconds are added to the clock for each one that's successfully retrieved. 4 other players, controlling Special Infected, must do their best 2 stop the cans from reaching the goal.

Realism mode Valve's Doug Lombardi explained that it was 4 the serious player: "Take Portal for example: We had our best internal players who could blow through that game in about 30 minutes, but within weeks of launching it we had people on YouTube beating [the testers'] times by 10 minutes or more. Realism is 4 those players."

Dissidia:Final Fantasy

Taken from Gamefaqs
Credits to Jahkeemyork

"Is this the Final Fantasy we Envisioned?"

So this is Square's response to Final Fantasy's 20th Anniversary, a Final Fantasy Styled Smash Brothers Brawl with less characters, no items and can't do four player on. This is what would first come to anyone's mind when they first saw the trailers to it. However this game is nothing like Smash Brothers Brawl and definitely will not dissapoint you. The question is though, is this game worth your money? The answer is in this review.

Plot:
This is one thing I can't really give a rating for considering I can't really understand the entire story in this game. However I can give a synopsis on it. Chaos and Cosmos are two entities at war with each other. The Main Protagonist and Atagonists of the Protagonists are summoned to fight this war for them. In order for the Heroes to get back to their world, they need to collect the "Crystal" that represents them. I'm not sure what the Villains are after, yet. However the plot already is an interest for me, and for anyone else that have played the Final Fantasy games. I'll have to add more detail to this after translations and/or the US version comes out, this might also change the final score.

Gameplay:

Dissidia's gameplay from trailers and just videos alone can confuse anyone, especially first timers to this game however here's the easy breakdown. The point of this game is to get your opponents HP down to Zero. However the only way you can do that is to attack them with BP attacks (The Circle button) to raise your Brave Points, which is the only way to inflict any damage at all to their HP. Once you have enough Brave Points you can do a damaging HP attack (Square button) which if it connects will knock your opponent down by the amount of BP you had.

The first reaction to this would be to "Just spam BP attacks and then finish them off with an HP" However the game is not as simple as that. First let's start with the actual content the gameplay offers. Players can dodge attacks, using the R button with a directional push. The moment they are in that roll motion or air spin they are completley invunerable to any attack. However they are left slightly open when the dodging animation stops. This sounds like a hindrance however it does add fairness to the game as it's your own fault if you roll right into your opponent only asking to be knocked down for a beating.

The second is the Guarding which is way more useful tool then Dodging when it comes to dealing with BP attacks. You tap the R button to Guard, however the Guard only lasts for a short two seconds. If you time this right your opponent will be left wide open for a short period of time allowing you to get a good combo off of him. If your opponent is on to you the moment you drop the guard you'll be opened to having pain thrown at you. Once again making this a rather fair fighting game still.

BP attacks are mostly combos done by pressing the circle button, or a direction + the circle button. These attacks can cause up to 400-500 (Depends on your character's level and equipment) BP points added to you. For each BP point you earn from attacking your opponent looses theirs. So it's best to always be prepared for standard attacks. The HP attacks when connected to your opponent trade in your BP points to subtract from their HP points. BP attacks are always harder to strike with unless chaining them with a combo and there are many reasons for that. First of all, the character says a line or speaks right before pulling it off, and the text for the attack pops up on the screen letting both players know a BP attack is going to happen. However all is not lost if you miss, you still keep your BP and you can use it again. If you do strike and your BP drops to Zero just wait a while and your BP should rise right back up to whatever your character's default BP is which is once again depending on your stats. However get attacked while your at zero, or get reduced to zero and you get something that's known as "Break."

Break is a new gameplay element added into Dissidia to make the game more hectic then other games. What happens is that your defense for HP attacks are the same however if your struck against something along the lines of a Wall, or ground you will receive nearly 5x as much damage as you'd normally do. However you can't die from hitting a wall so your HP might just drop down to one.

Ex Bursts is another addition to this game, that can play like the first Bloody Roar's beast mode, only a bit more simple and at the same time more advanced. When you attack your opponent there are little blue orbs that will float around your character. The goal mainly for this is to grab as many as those little orbs as you can to fill your Ex Guage, there are also Ex Orbs that appear randomly on the map which can only be found by either locking onto that instead of your opponent or following your blue ex mini orbs that are getting sucked into this main Ex Orb. Once you have enough you can enter the Ex Mode form which grants your character special abilities but on top of that the Ex Burst attack which is a very deadly attack that requires a different special input for each character depending on what Final Fantasy game they are from. The Ex Burst does big damage to your BP and then finishes it all off with an HP attack. Ex Bursts are initiated by hitting the opponent with an HP attack while in EX Mode. So the only way to avoid getting hurt is just to play dodge with them until their gauge drops back down to Zero.

If the action is too fast for you don't worry, Square-ENix knows there are RPG fans out there so you have the option to turn it from an action game, into an RPG by adding a command menu onto the screen where you just choose your option and press X.

I don't want to get too far into the characters, however each character plays very differently from the other causing you to want to use a certain strategy with each one. One of the most unique characters is Exdeath due to being more of a counter kind of character then a brawler.

The final thing I want to get into is Summons, there are over 40 different summons in the game and what they do is give you special BP conditions or damages your opponents BP. Some do nothing but just hide both of your BPs while others copy. You can only have one summon on your character. Mix all this together and you have one major fighting game with gameplay that requires a thought process of a Final Fantasy boss battle.

P.S.:The English Version of this game has been out for quite awhile incase some people didn know.

Content:
Next we go to the Content of the game, and I have no idea where to start from but here's a run down on each of them.

1. Story Mode
Story Mode, which just as it sounds is a Mode to help progress your character, learn about them, level up, obtain items summons and more. The Story Mode takes place to what's best to describe a board game. The point is to move your character from Point A, to Point B by any means. The game makes it easy for you at first by giving you a tutorial of the run down on how this works in the Prologue. However even the Board Game requires strategy, you have a set amount of DP (Destiny Points) which don't effect the story at all but effects the rewards you reap. Now you are looking at a map with 4 enemies, 3 treasure chests and you only have 4 turns. How are you suppose to do this? Well this is where planning comes in. Certain enemies have DP chances which give you special conditions in order to raise your DP by 1 point. Though that alone isn't enough which is where chaining comes in. This is where you position yourself between two enemies and that allows you to take them both on at once without losing another DP. If they both have DP points then that means you can leave with 2 extra moves on your set which will allow you to reap the rewards.

However Story Mode does come with it's quirks. As you begin to beat it with each Final Fantasy Hero (as the villains have no Story Mode) you begin to find out that this is all a chore for you. All the enemies start off very weak and simple no matter who you choose and get harder near the end. Personally I see this as a problem because it just feels like you're doing the same thing over and over again with a different character. They try to mix things around like Onion Knight you don't know where the enemies are, and Tidus gives you way more enemies then normally however it's the exact same feel. There are a few extra modes after you beat all the Heroes that make it worth it, however nothing more then Inward Chaos mode in which you can finally put what you've learned to the test in really hard battles. However you need to be at least Level 98 or higher if you even want to survive it.

The other problem is that the Boards make you have to return if you want to unlock everything by special gold blocks that can only be cleared by getting the star for that part which requires 1000 points to unlock all four. So it becomes more of a chore.

2. Duel Colliseum
This is what you get when you're not strong enough for Inward Chaos, what this mode does is allow you to select 4 options depending on your level. From there you battle it out in an endless brawl to raise your points up, level up and earn new items. You only have 3 chances to lose, unless you pick up a "Job Card" which grants you special conditions. Making this a tournament..with strategies and many rewards.

3. PP Store
Now this is what I'm talking about, a store in the game with actual worthwhile stuff. Although I can't understand all of it, you can buy characters (The villains and a few secret characters), alternate costumes, music CPU level capping and much more. This store will take a while to get as much points as you can to buy everything you could ask for.

4. Vs Mode
There are two versus mode, one for playing against CPU, which is the basic set yourself up against a computer, set their difficulty, level, and Behaviour. Choose a map, and then choose the music you want with it. There you battle it out, however the CPU's A.I becomes a problem as they are always either too easy, or so hard that the fun's taken out as you play a camping strategy to beat them. If you want a fun fight that doesn't include running CPU's and blocking crazy ones go for a level 7 behaviour.

The second mode is Adhoc matches where basically you can play online against other players, and also have "ghosts" which are specific A.I controlled CPU's following a specific pattern of the one it was chosen to record. Square-Enix has also released a few set of codes to pit you against ghosts they've made in order to unlock special items. Such as a snowboard that's held by a rough level 45 Cloud, ect, ect.

5. Museum Mode
This is where the Story Comes together, and a place you'll visit more frequently then other games. There are the normal Museum things in typical games such as look at characters, and summons to learn about them. Read Cosmos and Chaos reports look at icons you obtained and stats. However there are two you will be visiting most frequently. First is their media center where besides listening to music and hearing voice you can view every single cutscene. Not only that these cutscenes all appear to be in Chronological order of the events of Dissidia. So when you pick up the english copy of the game, unless you understand Japanese this is going to be your first step after you unlock every single (Over 200) cutscenes.

The second thing you'll be going to often is Replay Mode which works kind of like Halo 3's only much better. You have the option to turn off status, and then control the camera to your liking. There are also a lot of preset angles to fit the style of recording you want and if you have enough skill you can create one rivaling that of Advent Children's gameplay. There are a few flaws I've noticed though. The first being that you can't choose the camera to cut at certain ones and then combine angles at other points. It chooses which ones to combine and cut by itself. This can cost frustration and lead to going through angles that don't show either character. The other flaw is that there will be some points where the camera will get stuck, mainly FF3's Gimmick version stage where when it turns into a small box. Your camera will sometimes be behind the game wall and can't zoom in at all to the battle, and you'll have to just restart the replay to that point and fix it.

Then comes the best option AVI Export, that's right the first PSP game, that I've played anyways that allows you to Export your Replay into a format that you can soon encode and upload to Youtube or any other streaming site for everyone to view. This is the best option I've seen any game offer.

Sound:
There is no problem with the sound, at all I play with really good sound muffling headphones on and they added perfect detail to every sound. Giving nostalgic sounds depending on that Final Fantasy Character, and you can hear how far and which direction your enemy is in making it even more useful. In replay mode the sound density and direction changes as well depending on where the camera is.
The music features 1-2 remixed songs from each Final Fantasy, all remixed to fit fighting in Dissidia in which succeeds. There are also non-remixed songs used in the game to keep nostalgic feel to the game. However the two secret characters from their respected Final Fantasy games have no remixed songs, or stage. So it's unfortunate but nothing that creates a problem in the game at all.

Graphics:
The Graphics are still something you would expect from Square-Enix, eye catching, beautiful and even better looking then Crisis Core. Many people say this looks like a PS2 game, or better then a PS2 game. I have to disagree there to a point. The game looks like one of the middle ages of PS2 games however it's more like an era between the PS2 and the PS1's capabilities. The stages are huge and very destructable, there are gimmicks in each stage that you can tun on and off. However there are also commands you can do in the stage, much like Kingdom Hearts reaction commands just not as cheap.

Customization:
This is the last thing I want to bring up, that I nearly forgot to mention. Final Fantasy Dissidia features a major customization rivaling that of a standard Final Fantasy RPG. However the customization is really just like Kingdom Hearts. You can customize which button to do which move, and learn new moves as you level up. You can also add certain abilities to characters which take up (AP) points, just like in Kingdom Hearts. You can't grab every single ability because you don't have enough AP to do so. You can also change your equipment however certain equipment you can't attach at all while others require you to be at a certain level. That's all I can really say about the customization due to the fact that english will be needed to fully go into detail of it.

Overall:
This is not one of the best fighting games out there, but it's definitely one of the best games I've played on the PSP, and is solid Fighter with many RPG elements in there. Every online battle you face may play the same but there will always be different equipment, move lists, and summons that will change the battle around and cause you to change your strategy. Same with CPU's. This is also the first Fighting Game to have so many options and content in it. Is this game worth a buy, definitely. However only in English because unlike most fighting games this one has so much content and plot you will have to understand it's language to truly enjoy it.

The Good:
Solid Fighter with many RPG Elements
Story Mode that has over 200 Cutscenes
Customization mode rivaling that of an RPG
Extra Modes to keep you busy after beating the Main Story
22 Characters which all fight differently.
Museum is worth visiting way more then once
Replay Mode
Nostaligic Music for old time, and new time gamers.

The Bad:
Story Mode's board can feel like a chore after a while.
A.I can become unfairly hard ruining an epic experience with camping.
Replay Mode has limits that are uneeded.
Story Mode cutscenes are not in any real set order, (However this is fixed with Museum Mode's cutscene viewer)

Final Score: 9/10

Reviewer's Score: 9/10

COMPUTER HARDWARE! :D

Want to upgrade your computer without any hiccups? Easy there's a few thing you can do for your old rugged computer to extend it's lifespan and making it more reliable! Here's a few steps and facts you have to keep in your head!

1.Hardware
-When it comes to replacing old graphic cards and memory MAKE sure the frequency of the hardware matches your motherboard i.e : If your processor is a 800MHZ make sure you're buying a DDR2 or a 800MHZ chip because if you do get a DDR3 for a 800 MHZ it's going to run at half or 3/4 of the potential power .

-Get a graphic card that can dual channel . Why? Because if you're budget is tight you can always get 1 then another 1 to dual channel with later on so that you don't have to buy 2 solo running cards thus making it cheaper , better and more efficient in your computer!

-Always remember if you're going to change the processor or the motherboard you mind as well buy a new computer because you're basically replacing everything in it due to the fact that if you're buying a new processor or a new motherboard or both you'd mind as well just buy a new computer because let's face it who does not buy a DDR3 capable processor or a motherboard to replace your old rugged DDR2? When you do get it , you'll realize all your old DDR2 hardware are now going to run like rubbish being cluttered all over the floor when you put two incompatible running hardware together!!!

2.Financial
-Be patient when it comes to hardware shopping , bear in mind that computer parts are cheaper in the annual PC fair which happens in Malaysia every 2-4 months so therefore you should buy from PC fair because it's 20%-70% cheaper than buying retail , 15%-35% cheaper than direct manufacturer.

-Always know that when it comes to buying hardware know what you need and don't need for example never doubt an extra fan when it comes to buying more power consuming hardware for you'll never know how cool they have to be to run at 100% efficiency , another example is buying 2 1 GB ram when getting a 1 2GB ram is much better because there will be more PCI slots although much expansive but in the investment in making your hardware less space consuming makes it much more vast for upgrades!

-Don't be too cheap when it comes to buying hardware know that expansive parts have more longevity than cheap useless parts like for example buy a Kingston ram instead of some cheap China brand chip because it's better to rely on veteran chip makers than to use some useless sound-so-cool brand chip! Trust me on this for you'll never know when you'll get conned for being a cheap arse! Besides the PC fair is very cheap on chips so there's no excuse in budget cuts and going overboard on parts.

3.Maintainability
-When it comes to maintaining your hardware it's best not to overclock it , why? Because overclock is just some dumb cosmetic excuse into making killing your own computer sound cool and a necessity. Overclocking damages hardware! It's a fact because overclocking means making your hardware consume more electricity in a more unstable matter thus making the hardware burn out or get damaged due to an overheat or an unstable load of electricity come crashing down on those gold plates you see on your chips making them blow up ( not literally ) and making it complete in death.

-Caring for you computer is essential don't just skip a defrag or a virus scan just because your friends came by your house to play some powerfully demanding games and you can't! Always know that you're defragging because you need to consume less hard disk space and less hard disk space means faster internet , faster gaming , faster everything! A virus scan is essential so essential that if a virus kill your OS it can kill your hardware data too thus making your hardware dead! If you don't want to defrag then buy a SSD ( Solid State Drive ) it's expansive but more efficient the RPM is faster than the old classic hard drives 2000-5000RPM faster making your data faster to read and making gaming faster! Also SSD do not need to defrag , in fact defragging it will cause a placebo so don't! Lastly SSD may not have more space and they hardly reach 500GB of space ( the most now is a 320 GB ) but they yield more power and more convinience to your monthly maintainance by cancelling defrag for life and making virus check 50-80% faster because virus scan speed are based on how fast your hard disk reads it's data and also don't worry about the speed SSD are more safer than classic hard disks.

4.Controls
-Buying fancy gaming mouses and keyboard ain't for FARKS neither is it a waste of money , if you've tried it for some time you'll know it's better than those cheap crap you've been using all these while but do understand that if you don't feel the difference it means you do not need one , I've met people who bought these professional stuff but are too blinded by the influences from thier friends that they eventually could not see the diffence and therefore they just doubt the power of it . SO realize it before buying!

-You should off your sticky keys and all the other irritating stuff that pops out because Microsoft belives that if you off it it's because you have fancy gaming mouses and keyboards and if it's on it mean they want you to stop trashing your cheap keyboard and go buy something that works!

- Controls are affected by hardware , software and the gamer so don't blame the hardware if you suck at shooting , don't blame the software if they do not have controls as you'd desire and don't blame yourself if you can't frag people faster than the others for you only need experience ,strategy and practice to frag people the right way!

So if you want to upgrade your computer , remember the four things you've read just now HARDWARE , FINANCIAL , MAINTAINABILITY AND CONTROLS so that you'll know what you've upgraded thus making you appriciate you dedication to your old machine turned new again! :D

CORNMASTER! :D

Left4Dead Review Part 2: Survival Mode

Today I would like to introduce the Survival Mode in L4D. Basically the players just face hordes and hordes of Infected and Special Infected as well. The goal is to stay alive as long as possible. It's hard and challenging as when you face a horde and are reloading, a Smoker may just suddenly pull you away. Likewise a Hunter can just leap onto you.

Unfortunately, the AI (Artificial Intelligence) aka the bots leave you alone especially if there are two human players. For example, bot Francis got caught by a Smoker and bot Louis goes to save him and gets pounced on by a Hunter while the two human players are fighting a Tank. See what I mean, because since the two human players are together, the bot's priority is the other bot, as he is in trouble. Logical, but a Smoker is less deadly than a Tank.

As the pictures tell, I died after 5mins because a Tank punched me off the cliff. It was also my fault as I was at quite a high spot and I didn't see the Tank.

Back to Survival. To start the game, a player must "Activate the fuel pump". It's kind of like triggering a Panic Event in Normal Mode.

Well, hope more people try it.

N+ (Purely Addicting)

Credits all goes to

katastrophie in Gamefaqs

"Purely Addicting"

When I first saw screenshots of this game I thought this title was going to be quite bad, well I guess I got slapped in the face with the old saying "you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover". N+ is a fun and challenging game that will leave you playing for a long time and causing everyone around you telling you to shut the hell up since you will be shouting at the PSP screen.

The game is very basic, you are a ninja (albeit a very crude one) and your objective is to grab a crystal to open the locked door and go through it all the while gathering some gold for your troubles. You are a jumping master, you can leap from on wall and jump all the way to the next, you can even do the old wall to wall jump, you are a ninja after all. That's basically the goal of the game. There are numerous levels for you to play on each one getting harder than the last, and there is even a level editor in which you can build your own level and even share it on the internet for others to play thanks to it's multiplayer mode. As you play through single player you will unlock more parts to use in the level editor and even unlock new colours for your ninja.

The game starts out quite easy, jump here, grab this, head back and so on. Later on it will pick up and you'll find yourself dodging missiles, lasers, electrified balls, mini bombs, and other little gadgets that will try to hinder your progression, even the levels get longer and become more puzzled base by adding switches to press to open gates to reach your destination. Each level is unique and some are quite interesting and can give you inspiration into making your own level, such as the stage in the game that looks like a dragon. This game is not easy, some levels will frustrate you, but luckily the restart option is very quick and puts you right in the action with lightning like quickness. If you feel like you can't beat a stage just put it down and come back later, it works, that's my advice.

Graphics don't really matter to a game like this, they are very nicely done though. It's nice and simple and the colours are not frustrating on your eyes. The screen for each level usually sticks to your PSP screen meaning that it won't cause a part of the level to disappear when you go to one side of the level which is pretty nice. Music is quite good actually but for some reason I usually just don't hear it, maybe it's the pure concentration on trying to beat the level filling my head.

Overall this game is quite enjoyable and is very addicting once you find your comfort zone. This is what I think, what about you? Don't be afraid to try something new, you just might like it...

Price of Razer equipment in Singapore

This is to some people who said that Razer stuff in Singapore is cheaper than in Malaysia, think again.

The price of the Razer items which I saw (in BEST, Paragon Shopping Centre, Orchard Road) were: -

Razer Krait - S$49.00 = approx. RM120

Razer Lachesis - S$120.00 = approx. RM292

Razer Salmosa - S$49.00 = approx. RM120

Razer Copperhead - S$79.00 = approx. RM192

Razer Diamondback 3G - S$79.00 = approx. RM192

The price of the Command & Conquer 3 : Kane's Wrath DeathAdder bundle was S$89.00 which is about RM216. I bought mine for RM199 if I'm not mistaken.

And I'm sorry I didn't see the prices of the Razer Tarantula or Razer Lycosa Mirror for comparison XD I didn't want anyone to catch me (you are not supposed to bring cameras into the shopping complex)

So my conclusion is that it's cheaper in Malaysia guys!!! Our DeathAdder is now about RM150 when theirs is about RM180-200.

THERE'S A 14TH MEMBER IN THE ORGANIZATION???

Prince of Persia Review

Have you ever dreamt of a game with open world gameplay , Awesome partner whos a beutiful princess and you could NEVER DIE?! This game is the right one for you! if you're having problems executing fast combos and chaining them and do little benefit to you.

Unlike the old prince of persia series..ubisoft came out in a new story and this had nothing to do with the old prince of persia series...The main character isnt really a prince..the game itself refers him as "prince" and it could be seen in guides , tips and even in the manual. In this game..you had a partner named Elika , she's a princess of the city who seals the evil god of darkness Ahriman in a tree in the temple...Shes like the BEST partner ever..she can kick the enemies ass while pressing triangle and she COULD save you from almost any attack and even if you drop she will save you from almost every ledge you missed.. even if the enemy had knock you down and you press the wrong button and your enemy is gonna end your life...she saves you without FAIL but in return the enemy's life will replenish to like a quarter a bar..

The graphics were awesome for a cell shaded type and looks almost realistic and many casual gamers who are anime fans will love this . Button mashing is a sin in this game and it prevents you from making and chaining more combos so many button mashers who played o2 jam or DJ max will find it complicated and a litlle hard to get used to...The main aim to cell shade the graphics in this game is to let you enjoy the scenery of the entire MAP and giving you even frame rate..

The enemies you were fighting against were known as the "corruption" and they were Ahriman's minions..and each of them were once a high leveled citizen of this city and they turned to Ahriman to their fantasies and end up being his minions...In this game you dont encounter enemies just like Devil May Cry ...you always had to One on One with them and those normal minions came out pretty little and quite sometimes you see them spawning in their area and they had a BIG BOSS like life bar right below you but all u gotta do is either shove them off the cliff or hit em until they die and that will take you quite a while..The map shows the entire region of the city and each and every dot theres a boss fight and theres only 4 bosses...and you had to encounter them over and over again but you had to use diffrent tactics agains them because of the enviromental change..This time you dont have to find your way but Elika could just show you the way and its similar as Isaac Clarke's holographic GPS system..

You could always talk to Elika when you're bored or sometimes after finishing a task by pressing a specific button..The Prince sometimes shows some CONFLICT of INTREST in Elika and slowly in the game you could even find Elika having intrest in the prince too...like when the prince fell down and after saving him...she will be like ' pls dont die when im starting to like you' 'you're lucky (in a sexy tone)' or sometimes when both of you are on a horizontal pole and you need to go to the other way...the way you switch places with Elika is kinda akward ... and Elika will say "haha having fun?' or sometimes if you catch her off the ledge or something she will be like 'hmmm didnt know you're such a gentlemen' and sometimes the Prince will crack out jokes against the enemies or sometimes he whines when Elika holds on to his back while sliding down saying' ARGH! you're heavier than you look!' or 'ouch! dont dig your nails in me'

Overall the gameplay isn't as much as a Hack and Slash and It was more like Assasin's creed One on One with your enemies and its sometimes fustrating to collect power seeds to unlock the next level...but the graphics were great , the framerate is smooth , the enemies are beutifully crafted and designed and you could never die..but its less chalenging and no long loading time ( thats whats the cell shading for)..

the score is..............7/10

This game is recomended for Prince of Persia fans or casual gamers , anime fans , and STRICTLY not for Hardcore people....(cos they would end up whining saying its too easy)

OMFG!

Demos , Demos and MORE DEMOS! THERE JUST SO MANY THINGS TO SEE AND DO ON E3!!!!!

LEFT 4 DEAD 2

HOLY CRAP LEFT 4 DEAD 2!? OMFG! E3's greatest surprise is LEFT 4 DEAD 2 !

THIS ARTICLE FROM ROCKPAPERSHOTGUN.com explains everything and everywhere about Valve's next greatest game LEFT 4 DEAD 2!

Left 4 Dead who now? No one was expecting Valve’s next game to be a sequel to 2008’s awesome co-op zombie shooter, Left 4 Dead. To answer your immediate question: Yes, this is a completely new game, with new characters, in a new location, with new zombies, new weapons, new twists, and an improved Director, in five completely new campaigns set in the Southern United States. This isn’t more maps for the previous game, it’s a brand new game, and it’s due this November. We snuck into Valve HQ ahead of Monday’s announcement and played a full campaign, and at first glance much appears to have evolved.

It’s still Left 4 Dead: Valve have more sense than to change anything that made the first game so splendid. Rather the focus on L4D2 appears to have been the desire by everyone involved in the first game to make something bigger and better. Coming off the back of the project, we were told by various Valve developers, people we bursting with ideas of where to take the game next. So they went right there.

Left 4 Dead 2 takes place in the South of the USA, beginning in Savannah, eventually reaching New Orleans. There’s four new characters to play, each with back-stories to be hinted at in their conversations. Coach is a high school football coach from the Savannah area, used to leading the kids, comfortable in his life, and perhaps not enamoured by the arrival of a zombie attack. There’s Rochelle, from Cleveland originally, working for a cable news network. She’s producing a segment on this strange story occurring in Savannah, and gets caught up in the events. Ellis is a Southern boy mechanic, an enthusiastic but smart guy with a “Southern flair”. Finally there’s Nick, a gambler and a conman, unsure of his company and cynical about the events.

The plan for the five new campaigns is to bring them together more coherently, so you can more obviously see how the events of one lead to the beginning of the next. Nothing that will enormously impact on jumping right in to a game in a particular stage, but giving a stronger narrative logic to the complete game. And with that, the new cast will also develop their personalities as things progress. Coach looks set to gain bravery as he gets closer to New Orleans, while Nick’s attitude to the others may soften. This will be born out in a more elaborate and involved collection of dialogue barks, once more primarily away from the player’s control. Perhaps one of the most endearing aspects of L4D was the characters’ surprisingly apt and timely remarks about the events, and occasional exchanges. This is to be expanded upon, with many more back-and-forth moments of chatter appropriate to the events happening around you.

Beyond the new cast, nothing else from L4D is being replaced, but rather added to or expanded upon. So the Special Infected we’re already familiar with will appear, joined by a new collection. Of these only one has been revealed so far, The Charger. Looking like a crossbreed between a Tank and a Common Infected (what an unholy union that would be) the beast has one giant mutated arm, which he uses to shoulder-charge the Survivors. He knocks you down, but doesn’t incapacitate you. Rather you’re off balance for a moment. As happened to us as we played with Valve designers, he’s capable of taking out many of you in a single charge, sending us flying like bowling pins. However, should he charge someone on their own, rather than running to hide after, instead he might pick you up with his giant arm and repeatedly smash you face-first into the ground until a teammate comes to rescue you.

While other Specials aren’t yet shown, we have seen some changes to the familiar. Rather cutely, some of the Common Infected have been changed while in hazmat suits. This means laying down walls of Molotov cocktail fire won’t keep everyone away any more, as the fire-proof baddies can run right through. The pay-off for this is exploding their heads and seeing the goo splat against the inside of the perspex visor.

But perhaps most exciting is the Wandering Witch. Another new feature of L4D2 is setting some of the campaigns in the daylight. The campaign we played was such, and it’s oddly frightening to see it all happening while the sun shines. Making our way through the sprawling streets of New Orleans, desperately trying to reach a distant bridge at the other end of which was lay an apparent helicopter rescue, the only time we needed our torches was when making our way through buildings. And it seems in the daytime, the Witch has a bit more pep. Rather than sitting crouched, sobbing, singing, now this most terrifying of gaming enemies methodically paces around, wandering where she sees fit, although still apparently zoned out. She may be on foot, but she’s no more interested in being disturbed. This adds in a whole new aspect to Witch evasion. No longer can you simply take the long way around where she’s squatted. Instead, she may well be walking exactly where you’re headed. Or worse, walking up behind you, singing her haunting song, suddenly infuriated by you when you swing around in terror.

The Witch’s capacity to create anecdotes seems only more powerful now. Sitting down to grab some food with a collection of Valve, stories about their most frightening or plain inconvenient Wandering Witch stories flow freely, each explained in animated terms.

Of the new weapons, perhaps the most exciting reveal are the melee tools. So far we’ve seen the axe and the frying pan. Yes, the frying pan. Feeling like a sneaky bit of TF2 in the game, it’s the perfect comedy weapon, that somehow doesn’t feel irreverent in a way inappropriate to L4D’s more sullen world. Complete with a fantastic KWAPANG noise, it’s extraordinarily effective to bat your way through crowds, and can even be used to knock a Hunter off a pinned Survivor. There’s also a baseball bat, which didn’t appear in the campaign we saw, which we assume will be a little less bonky than TF2’s Scout’s. And the chainsaw, which again we haven’t played with, but hell: there’s going to be a chainsaw. The axe can’t go unexplained either. It’s utterly brutal, and shows off the Infected’s newly regioned vulnerability. Swing it low and you can slice off a zombie’s legs, letting them collapse horribly to the ground, bleeding out of their fresh stumps. Or maybe swipe off either arm. Or most horrendously of all, remove a face.

This same gore is achievable with all the weapons, with new ragdoll deaths for the throngs, to make their entrail-spilling, armpit-dribbling, face-exploding ways all the more entertaining. There were many gasps and cries of “OH GOOD GRIEF!” as we played, the strings of guts slopping wildly into the air, or as mentioned above, the faceless leaking mess suddenly bursting like a blood-filled balloon as the Infected fell to the floor. It’s awesome.

There’s a new shotgun, a new semi-automatic, and a brand new sniper rifle. This last one feels dramatically out of place in a game where you can’t stand still, but it seems extremely likely that this will be the weapon that will be used most skilfully. Obviously powerful, it’s a very useful tool when you find yourself in one of the new “gauntlet” moments.

Gauntlets are one of the new elements that will occur, as one of many moves to attempt to make L4D2 a more consistently thrilling experience. In the final moments of the campaign, finally reaching the bridge, we had to cross it. At the other end lay the potential of rescue. But it was one long, straight, inescapable path down which the Director was able to screw with us as much as ‘he’ liked. Standing still was never and option, but trying to stay high, jumping from roof to roof of the vans and cars, very much was. Someone sniping from the back here proves helpful, while a couple of at the front wielding axes or frying pans was equally effective. These make for interesting moments, an almost unrelenting onslaught from in front, but the peculiar safety of knowing that nothing you didn’t let get past you would be attacking from behind.

Another very smart change is to prevent sneaky players from trying to sit out the triggered events. In those moments in L4D where you had to press a button that began a frantic attack until an elevator arrived, or a door opened, it seems too many were crouching in a corner together and waiting for it to all die down. L4D2 has plans to prevent such treachery. Now some of the events you start can only be stopped by reaching a further target. In an extremely tense sequence, we had to make our way through a labyrinth of alarmed cars to reach a distant point that would finally see the attack fade. Trying desperately to avoid hitting any of the cars, and thus making the situation far worse, while having to make constant forward progress, amped things up significantly.

The Director even has discretion over the layout of certain sections of levels. In New Orleans we reached a graveyard that is different each time you play. As Valve explained to us, if the Director gives you a pretty straight route right through it, it’s an insult to how poorly you’ve been playing that the omnipotent AI thought it needed to make things a little easier for you. If you’ve won his robotic respect, then it’ll be a far more convoluted journey.

While there’s no intention to waste players’ time with dead ends, there is a greater emphasis on rewarding exploration. You may well learn the correct route through most of a level, but heading off down a longer pathway, or going to check out an out of the way room, is more likely to be beneficial. The Director is, we’re told, going to be far smarter this time about placing items, and the selection of these has expanded as well. Which includes the incendiary ammo.

Oh, what a pleasure it is to find these beauties. Like an ammo stash, incendiary bullets can be picked up from tables, etc, and will give you a clip of ammo for your current weapon that will set absolutely everything it hits on fire. Which is spectacular. Right up until you accidentally set a Charger alight and he comes bounding toward you to share it.

Everything seems bigger and better. And this includes the number of Infected to kill. The average number taken down in a campaign in the first game was around 1000. In our play through one of the sequel’s five new chapters we clocked up around 1700.

Due November 17th this year, it’s quite remarkable that it’s so far on already. And frankly, that of all developers Valve have made something this quickly is almost dizzying. While there’s obviously going to be something of a fuss made over people’s expectations that L4D would be constantly expanded for free, following the TF2 model, it’s important to stress that while this is obviously still the same L4D core experience, it’s certainly not a bunch of new maps thrown into the old game. It’s a coherent new imagining of the game, this time bigger, smarter, and far more elaborate. Oh, and gloriously more gory.

To find out even more details, be sure to listen to our world exclusive developer interview with project lead, Chet Faliszek, in the latest podcast.

PRESS RELEASE

VALVE ANNOUNCES LEFT 4 DEAD 2

Sequel to Best-Selling Co-op Thriller Coming This Holiday

June 1, 2009 - Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), the sequel to the best-selling and critically-acclaimed co-operative multiplayer thriller.

Coming exclusively to Xbox 360 and PC, L4D2 promises to set a new benchmark for co-operative action games and become one of 2009’s marquee titles.

“A large part of how Left 4 Dead became 2008’s top-selling new IP on Xbox 360 and the PC was the custom-tailored gameplay made possible by the AI Director,” said Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve. “With the knowledge gained from creating the original, new technology, and a passionate team, L4D2 will set a new benchmark for cooperative action games.”

Set for release on November 17, the title adds melee combat to enable deeper co-operative gameplay, with items such as a chainsaw, frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and more.

Introducing the AI Director 2.0, L4D’s dynamic gameplay is taken to the next level by giving the Director the ability to procedurally change weather effects, world objects, and pathways in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match the players’ performance. The result is a unique game session custom fitted to provide a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience each time the game is played.

Featuring new Survivors, boss zombies, weapons, and items, Left 4 Dead 2 offers a much larger game than the original with more co-operative campaigns, more Versus campaigns, and maps for Survival mode available at launch.

Supported by a $10+ million marketing campaign, Left 4 Dead has sold over 2.5 million retail copies since it was released in November of 2008. Left 4 Dead 2 is targeted for release on Xbox 360 and the PC on November 17, 2009, and will be launched worldwide with a multi-million dollar marketing campaign across TV, Outdoor, and Online.

“Left 4 Dead was backed by our most aggressive advertising campaign to date, and resulted in a top 5 showing on two platforms during holiday 2008,” said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. “Left 4 Dead 2 is a larger game and will be supported with even more consumer and retail advertising programs than the original.”

Left 4 Dead 2 will be featured as the cover story on PC Gamer and Official Xbox Magazines this month. For more information, please visit www.l4d.com
